Thanks to Gorilla vs Bear for finding this hidden gem.

By the way, I now live in Cambodia. I’ve been away of this blog for quite a while because I was somehow kind of busy. But that’s an excuse really. Red Wigs is back for good. Although I love Cambodia, I have to say it isn’t the most interesting place in the world music-wise. I need to get back to a healthy musical routine, and I’ll do that through this blog. So there’s a new xx track out. I know I’m a bit late to deliver one of the hottest indie music news in the past two months, but I was busy enjoying a music & friends session at beautifully located Musilac Festival.

“Angels” is a perfect example for a teasing track. Far from being the best of what The xx can produce or have produced, “Angels” gets us back in the mood and reintroduces us to the morose and mystical xx far-off lands. Now if you expect more from the three Londoners you are completely right to do so, but I have to say that “Angels” got me excited for their new album, out on September 10th (pre-order here).

Now show us you what you’ve got, you goth indie rockstars.

So I’m pretending to work hard by having that serious stare at my computer screen, but really am listening to Tensnake’s remake of Sugardaddy’s How Long, picturing myself paddling in an ocean of Cuba Libre.
