In what is probably an attempt to break Purity Ring's momentum, Crystal Castles just released a new track of undeniable quality. The Canadian indie music scene’s own Game of Thrones has started.

No announced date for the upcoming album yet. And please don’t take everything too seriously.

Purity Ring’s first album, Shrines, is on first listen at NPR. Do it.

It’s no big secret that we’re quite fond of Purity Ring, here at Red Wigs HQ. A fondness that grew stronger after their rather mesmerizing show at Madame Jojo’s last month.

Here’s the brand new video for Fineshrine, their latest single. As expected, “joyful” won’t be the first term that’ll come to your mind when watching it.

A new Purity Ring track has landed on public space, teasing the blogosphere more than ever. Their first album now certainly is one of the most awaited for in Indieland this year.

Purity Ring has just released a music video for Belispeak. It’s just as dark & oppressive as their music. And I mean that in a good way.

Purity Ring is an electronic duo that makes dark and hypersensitive tracks. They’ve only released four songs so far (you can hear the three others on their soundcloud page) but each of them are top quality and buzzed louder than a hornet’s nest.

The two Canadians travel in a world that is similar to Grimes’, but have their own twisted touch. I really can’t wait to see what they have in store for us with “Shrines”, their first LP  set to be released July 24.
